Popular Hikes in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley
Camelback Mountain
One of the most popular and challenging hikes in the area is up Camelback Mountain. This iconic mountain is located in the heart of Paradise Valley | Phoenix and provides stunning views of the city from its summit. The hike to the top is steep and strenuous, but the views are well worth the effort. The trail is well marked and offers a number of scenic overlooks along the way. It's important to note that Camelback Mountain can get very crowded, especially on weekends and during peak tourist season, so it's best to start early in the morning to avoid the crowds and beat the heat.
There are two trails on Camelback, Echo Canyon (4925 E McDonald Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85018) and Cholla Trail (5150 N Invergordon Rd, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253). Both can be very challenging and tend to get congested. You really need hiking boots with a very good grip and gloves. Parking can also be difficult. But, the exploration and scenic views are an amazing experience!
Pinnacle Peak Park
Pinnacle Peak Park is a very popular trail in North Scottsdale (26802 N 102nd Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85262). This moderate hike is great for families and those looking for a more relaxed outdoor experience. The trail winds its way through the desert and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Tom's Thumb

Heads up, there are a lot of mountain bikers who also enjoy this trail.
