Okay, I'm not going to go at it, but we can all acknowledge that our economy could be a lot better. We could be out of the war. Our leaders could really have our best interest at heart rather than just keeping their job. Our earth could be healthier. Gas could be $1 a gallon (well, I may have gone too far there)! The real estate industry could make a major turn around.
But..aren't we lucky? What I am saying is, it is all about attitude and the more important things in our lives. We could choose to be panicky, upset, depressed or...
If we have our health, then aren't we fortunate? We can enjoy our family unimpeded by pain. We can exercise, eat the foods we enjoy, go places, do the things we love. We can play sports or justs watch those who play them well. We don't spend our lives in a hospital or care facility. We can see, smell, taste, feel. My gosh, how much better can it get?
We have family and friends we can rely on for love and support in our more trying times. We can laugh and cry, share our faith, our similarities and differences with joy. We have parents and children that we can continually learn from. We can relive the innocents and delight in new experiences through our children and grandchildren.
Do we enjoy the unbridled love our pets give us? We greeting with joy every single time we come home. They make us laugh and they comfort us when we are down.
The world may not be what we want it to be, but even if all goes to hell in a handbasket, is there anything we can do to change it? Probably not. But we will live, we will survive, and it will get better. And maybe we have learned something so we don't experience this again. And won't that even be better yet?
