Heritage Lakeside is a 55+, gated community in Elk Grove, CA, with easy access to Interstate 5. The community features 269 single story homes. Some bordering our man made lake, Heron Lake. It is one of two 55+ communities in Elk Grove. The other community, Glenbrooke by Del Webb is also very nice and I will review it soon.
Heritage Lakeside
We used to walk our dog, Zeke, through the nearby fields when they started building Heritage Lakeside, circa 2002. We often wondered how it would all turn out. Yes, I am biased. We raised our kids in the Lakeside community, but the builders did a wonderful job with this community!
Heritage Lakeside is perfectly located within walking distance to numerous top notch restaurants like the Flaming Grill, Original Pete's, The India Kitchen, Wasabi Grill, Oz Korean BBQ, Huckleberry's, Jamie's Cafe and, our family's personal favorite, Todo un Poco. Do you like local breweries? If so, you are in luck with Dreaming Dog Brewery right down the street. The community is convenient to Valley Hi golf course (private), Bartley Cavanaugh golf course and Emerald Lakes golf course. Local parks are plentyful. Stonelake National Wildlife Refuge and Cosumnes River Preserve are local neighborhood jewels. It is hard to believe, but we are minutes from serene moments in nature like this.
The Heritage Lakeside community has plenty to keep you busy with all kinds of activities including a fitness center, golf practice area, tennis, pickleball, horseshoes, billiards, fitness center, library, arts and crafts area, clubs and plenty of games.
Twenty one homes have sold in this community within the last year. They have ranged in size from 1,558 square feet to 2,724 square feet. The smaller homes have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The larger homes have three to four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The average sales price was $507,000 with a selling price range of $390,000 to $684,000. Check with the home owner's association, but the HOA fees seem to range from $220-$256 per month. There are currently four homes available. I would be happy to show them to you.
