Are You Showing Sedona Real Estate During The Arizona Stay-At-Home Order?
The short answer to am I showing property in Sedona and surrounding areas of the Verde Valley is, yes I am! More on this below.
Our Governor Doug Ducey decided to have a gradual and phased in opening of our state. Most of the residents in Sedona and Arizona agree with this process. The Sedona restaurants and all the businesses etc. listed above, have been closed to inside and outside seating since March 20, 2020.
We feel pretty fortunate to be treated like adults and given the responsibility to follow the physical distancing and hygiene requirements without forcing us into draconian measures.
Unfortunately, tourists and visitors would not stay away from Sedona, so our mayor along with the Bureau of Land Management decided to close our trails and ask visitors to stay away. This didn't mean you cannot go hiking but it does mean that parking and road access were shut down making it more difficult to park close to hiking areas. We can still go outside, we can take a walk, and visit parks. After all, we are responsible adults.
What have you been doing while following
the "Arizona Stay At Home Order"?
First of all, we all have to maintain a positive frame of mind. I have always felt that having the right attitude is 90% of anything I do. When I feel that a situation is starting to overcome my attitude, I often think of a quote from Zig Ziglar. "Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude." If I stay in a Zen frame of mind, I am more balanced. It helps my mind stay clear and I can more easily defeat challenges that come my way. I have been spending a lot of time in my courtyard and backyard gardening and pruning my bushes. I do this before I would normally get ready to start my day selling Sedona real estate.

The Sedona Red Rocks Help Create a Peaceful State Of Mind
After I balance myself by enjoying my gardens, I get on the phone and start calling clients to find out how they are coping with this. Usually, they want to know how the market is doing. Is it busy? There is a lot of people calling that can't wait to get out of their state. This pandemic has changed a lot of people's minds about where they want to live.
Information Is Powerful
During my conversations, I have talked with my sellers, to let them know that I am not on vacation and I am continually marketing their property. I can be reached for any questions they may have. I stay in touch on a regular basis. Real Estate is an essential business in Arizona. More on that later.
Helping Neighbors and Community
I am also checking on my elderly neighbors. At Easter, I would normally have them over for dinner. This year I made each a huge plate of Easter ham and all the trimmings. I brought Tristan with me to say Happy Easter from outside! I also volunteer for the Salvation Army taking calls and approving ways to help the disadvantaged. Over the last 4 years, those calls continued to diminish until recently. We now have 3 additional people to help. Let's all hope we get to a point that those calls diminish once again.
How I Am Showing Property in Sedona and the Verde Valley

There is a COVID-19 Certification For Property Access. I need to follow these guidelines and each individual accessing the property needs to sign the form.
