I get the mental picture that two guys were hammering away on this calendar during the Mayan dynasty and suddenly one of them says. Whose is ever going to live past 2012. The other guy laughs they drop their tools and head down to the local pub or watering hole and that is that. Whatever the reason the calendar ended and you and I did not. Congratulations on surviving. What are you planning to do with your ONE and ONLY life? Make your mark today for good. Help others, encourage someone who is down and teach someone (6 comments)

My friend Nick is a really great guy. He volunteers his time to work with the Teens at our home church. He is funny, encouring and very thoughtful. Nick often comes over for Sunday dinner and we watch football game or some sporting event. I will be talking with him about the game and all of the sudden it gets quiet. Nick is asleep on my couch.
Speaking of Sunday naps, not a bad idea. Hope you have good friends in your life as well. Yawn. See you tomorrow. (0 comments)
YOU MUST GET OUT OF THE CAR TO ENJOY AUSTIN TEXAS! The parks, the lake, the city is best seen walking or riding your bike. Be sure to pack light and bring good walking shoes. Lots to see and do wherever you go. Try Hickory Street Cafe on Congress. Great food and just a short walk from the Capitol building. You can catch a carriage ride and tour in front of the famed Driskill Hotel in Austin. Plan to spend the day you are in for a real Treat and don't forget to visit South Congress! (3 comments)
THE NEW LAW OF BUSINESS: “The Internet changes everything”. Do you remember when…? -You went to the Yellow pages to find a business? -You went to the white pages to find your friends phone number? -You went to the Library to find information on subject that you were completely unfamiliar with? -You went to the store to purchase just about everything. -All your mail came from the post office to your home?
Long, long ago in a far away country there lived a family who longed for opportunity. Each day the father and mother would drop their children off at schools the children did not enjoy and they would then drive to jobs that were not fulfilling. The family longed for the weekends so they could enjoy being together. They loved the outdoors but winters were long and hard and they had to spend most months inside their home watching Netflix. One day the father and mother made a radical decision: They would be moving to Austin Texas. They first contacted (3 comments)

Austin formally offered $1.6 million in incentives Thursday to Visa Inc., the credit card payments giant that is considering whether to build a new information technology center in Austin that would create nearly 800 new jobs over five years. Visa, which runs the world’s largest payments network, is expected to choose a site by the end of this month. The California-based company also is considering sites in Denver and Virginia, according to area business recruiters. If it chooses Austin, the company’s proposed contract with the city calls for creating 794 new jobs by the end of 2017 with an (7 comments)
We are living in uncertain times. It is more difficult today than in any time I can remember to determine where is the best place to invest your savings. Here are some tips for investing in uncertain times:
1. Do Something! Standing still is not an option. Putting your money in the bank with no interest gain or under your mattress is not a strategy that will work long term. 2. Diversify your investments. What does that mean? Make sure you are investing in different ways if you like gold and silver put some of your funds into that (13 comments)
Apple will receive up to $36 million in state, city and county incentives over the next 10 years if it lives up to its economic development agreement, which includes creating 3,600 jobs over 10 years. The average annual wage for those jobs is $63,950. Most of the jobs created are expected to be tied to operations service, support and finance for Apple’s business in North and South America. The company agreed to invest at least $56.5 million in the first phase of expansion by the end of 2015. It proposes to invest another $226 million in phase two of (6 comments)

Though the actual U.S. Grand Prix race is Sunday, race fans got their first real taste of Formula One racing as the first practice session was under way Friday morning. Above, driver Sergio Perez, of the Sauber F1 Team, and a local favorite from Mexico, takes his session on the track as he rounds Turn 11, losing his grip and burning rubber heading into the turn. Welcome to Austin Texas! We are so glad you are here!!!

In the fog of buying we can sometimes settle for what we don't want. Buyers remorse is very real and sometimes very costly. Especially now in this market you need all the information, the best negotiator and the right location. I work hard with each client to provide them with all the information they need to make the best decision. I show them every property they want to see and point out the locations that are showing annual improvement in value. Last but not least, I (4 comments)
