I get the mental picture that two guys were hammering away on this calendar during the Mayan dynasty and suddenly one of them says. Whose is ever going to live past 2012. The other guy laughs they drop their tools and head down to the local pub or watering hole and that is that.

My friend Nick is a really great guy. He volunteers his time to work with the Teens at our home church. He is funny, encouring and very thoughtful. 
Nick often comes over for Sunday dinner and we watch football game or some sporting event. I will be talking with him about the game and all of the sudden it gets quiet. Nick is asleep on my couch. 
 
Speaking of Sunday naps, not a bad idea. Hope you have good friends in your life as well. Yawn. See you tomorrow.

Austin formally offered $1.6 million in incentives Thursday to Visa Inc., the credit card payments giant that is considering whether to build a new information technology center in Austin that would create nearly 800 new jobs over five years.
Visa, which runs the world’s largest payments network, is expected to choose a site by the end of this month. The California-based company also is considering sites in Denver and Virginia, according to area business recruiters.

Apple will receive up to $36 million in state, city and county incentives over the next 10 years if it lives up to its economic development agreement, which includes creating 3,600 jobs over 10 years. The average annual wage for those jobs is $63,950.

austin texas: Foreclosures at all time low in Austin Texas - 11/20/12 01:11 PM
 
The foreclosure rate in the Austin market has dropped below 1 percent, according to data released today by real estate research company CoreLogic.
Among outstanding mortgages locally 0.96 percent were in some stage of foreclosure in September. A year ago that number was 1.1 percent.
Across Texas that number was 1.3 percent. The national average for foreclosure rates during the month of September was 3.25 percent of outstanding mortgages.
Delinquency rates in the Austin market — those loans that were 90 days delinquent — were 2.78 percent of outstanding mortgages as compared with 3.14 percent a year ago. Across Texas that … (3 comments)

TRUNK OR TREAT EVENTS A GREAT SUCCESS! Three neighborhood locations. Over 250 invites and 40 lbs of candy given out. Each event had games for the kids and parents. In total the events saw nearly 300 families stop by to enjoy the celebrations. One of the locations gave out FREE hot dogs and water bottles along with the candy. The invite below was given to each family, inviting them to attend the November series each Sunday Morning 10:30am at the Grace Place on makeing Life changes.
