I was recently approached by two of my long term buyers.  They are both looking for equestrian property for horse farms.  Having been given a set of parameters and turned loose I have found multiple properties that they can choose from.  Now of these properties they fall into three categories;  Publicly listed farms/land for sale, pocket listings (not public knowledge but I have an agreement that if I have a buyer that wants something like what they have I can bring them out), and last but not least land that is "not for sale … (7 comments)

Judy does have a point one amazing fact is that most homeowners that are in a bad place financially usually do not understand what all of their options are.  
Many banks are actually tightening up on their guidelines on short sales from Bank of America's Cooperative Short Sale program to many of the other banks new guidelines.  Many are trying to put out some of the fires that are out there.  They are insisting on listing the homes for market value.  
It is a ever changing world out there.  We need to stay ahead of the curve.

This weekend is another Lexington BBQ Festival here in Uptown Lexington, North Carolina.  Over 55 teams are going to compete in the First Annuall  BBQ Capitol Cook-Off.  The festival will be running Friday and Saturday and if you like BBQ you definitely need to be there.  Starting at 6:00 PM on Friday till 9:00 PM then starting back up at 9:30 AM on Saturday and ending at 5:00 PM.

Last weekend I was privileged to witness my youngest son's elementary school win the Catawba County Science Olympiad.  My son Caleb participated in two events the first was; First in Flight where two students worked as a team to develop two different paper airplanes.  One plane was flown for distance and the other was for flight time.  Caleb was originally going to work on the distance plane while his partner was going to do the flight time plane.   As it turns out during their practice runs the boys and their planes worked for the other discipline.  So they switched.  Caleb's … (1 comments)
