If you live on or near East Corkscrew Road, let's face it: Traffic and most especially heavy equipment construction traffic is a big, fat issue. I have heard the story before. Just yesterday I was behind a beige truck on Pennsylvania Avenue in Bonita Springs, yesterday, and thought: "This person believes so much in the Corkscrew protest that she tattooed her truck"! For the record, Corkscrew Road is in Estero, Florida, but it's a stone's throw...a matter of a mile or two from Bonita Springs, Florida.

Yes, Bad Ass! At the corner of Three Oaks Parkway and Corkscrew Road in Estero, Florida a new plaza has just been finished. If you've driven by you've, no doubt, marveled at the Lowes Home store. It's so cute! They made it appear like a row of bungalow homes but it's a box store.

While the Bonita Springs and Estero areas await the completion of the Arts District it's important to note the other venues that offer the arts and entertainment.
Most notably, The Naples Philharmonic Center - Daniels Pavilion more commonly know to locals at "The Phil" and Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall. Bonita Springs is located dead center between the two venues.
The fall season for performing arts is just kicking off. Tickets are available online and at the box office for a variety of shows, concerts, ballet and acts.

Hallelujah! We're on the cusp of entering October and we've not seen a storm yet! If you're not familiar, June through November is prime storm (hurricane) season in the southeast. Estero played their first home game Friday, Sept 14 against Baker. Bummer, defeated - score is irrelevant. It was tied minutes before half time. The thunder started rolling and I made tracks. Since I didn't have a kid on the field this year I didn't feel obligated to chance death sitting on metal bleecher in a thunderstorm. Better luck next Friday, boys. Well, I've saved everyone in Bonita Springs and Estero the bother wading through bad pizza. Luna Pizza in Estero is the BEST in Bonita Springs and Estero. Period. It's over 10 miles from my home and I make trip past a dozen other pizza joints just to pick it up. They offer pizza by the slice or whole pie.

Tonight I ran an errand with the Prada Purse (my dog that has cost as much as a Prada bag to keep alive). We headed to Estero to check one of my listings in Colonial Oaks. On the way back I cut down Williams Road and passed Estero High School. **sigh** Before I got to the train tracks I u-turned and headed back.
