In the most recent article from dataquick http://www.dqnews.com/News/California/Southern-CA/RRSCA080313.asp Southern California home sales continue to be at very low levels. Dataquick uses the median sales price for its analysis, while this is not the most accurate mesure of the local real estate market, it does provide a good indication of the current real estate market in Southern California. In Southern CAlifornia the Median sales price for February 2008 was down almost 18% from February 2007. In Orange County the median sales price was down 16% year over year for the same period at $520.000.
