Homeowners - Transplant with lots of water! - 08/28/10 07:28 AM
Do you remember the extreme heat we had all summer, particularly through late July into August in New England? It was amazing that we could hold the heat daily into the high 80s and high 90s. It was a very unusual summer, indeed.
We had to remove a huge white pine that kept sustaining a great amount of damage in each storm we had. In July, we decided to remove the tree and others next to, as the group were intertwined. Our gorgeous driveway entrance looked barre The job of (5 comments)
Free FICO Scores signed into law! - 08/28/10 07:10 AM
I just thought that this is a long, but fascinating piece of information for my blog readers. Very worth the read! Via National Credit Fixers - Matt Listro: On Wednesday July 21 President Obama signed a massive financial overhaul. Some are calling this FinReg and some are calling it Dodd Frank. Regardless of what it's called, FinReg accomplishes a major win for consumers referred to as the FACS Act. The FACS Act is the Fair Access to Credit Scores Act and it guarantees that consumers who are denied anything because of their credit scores, including a better interest rate, will get a copy (5 comments)

Casey's Sheet Metal Service in Norwalk, CT Caseys' Sheet Metal Service, a top quality custom metal working company, has been located in Norwalk CT at 4 Merwin Street for many many years. Their phone number is 203-866-9008.
This is a shop catering to not only the "big guys" (Air Conditioning companies), but also the "little guys." Casey's works with custom sheet metal fabrication, air conditioning, and heating. I cannot imagine one could find a job that they could not handle. We had some coach lamps that were falling apart, because the welding was disintegrating after 30 years, but otherwise, were (7 comments)

What is Stew Leonard's Dairy Market in Norwalk CT? - 08/14/10 04:30 PM
What is Stew Leonard's Dairy Market in Norwalk CT? Stew Leonard's Dairy Market in Norwalk CT started out many years ago as a little dairy stand, then grew to a small farmers' market, always with cows, chickens, sheep, goats, ducks, etc by the street in pens. Almost a petting zoo, and definitely an attraction for all of the kids in the area. I know that my children always wanted to shop there for our food. As each year went by, the market grew and grew. Additions kept discreetly being added, out of sight and not exposed until done. Today Stew Leonard's (7 comments)
Why Do Some Agents Respond to Referrals, and Others Not? - 08/03/10 10:10 PM
Why Do Some Agents Respond to Referrals, and Others Not? The other day, I received a surprise phone call from a friend. His very good friends in another town here in CT were moving. Very sad, but he was astute enough to remember his friend and refer me for the job. Regretfully, it was really too far away for it to be practical for me to help them. I live in Wilton, CT, and this referral was to be in Wolcott, which is just north of Waterbury. Too far away. That is a 45 minute drive from me at the best. (58 comments)
A Stupendous Sunset in Old Saybrook, CT overlooking the marshes and Long Island Sound. I had a wonderful day yesterday, one of the first days completely off from real estate in Wilton, and had a fabulous time!!! My good tennis partner/ friend and I played eighteen holes of golf (walking) and rode bikes for about an hour and a half. in between, there was lunch and dinner. So much fun to be so active in such a beautiful place! The golf course was beautiful, easy and fun. The biking was a fun wander up and down all the neighborhood streets (13 comments)
