Installment sale is denied to: Sales of a property by a real estate dealer; sales of depreciable property to a controlled entity and sales or exchanges between spouses do not qualify for the installment method. The installment method is permitted for dealers of: time-share rights to use of residential real property for not more than 6 weeks, and residential lots, if taxpayer not making improvements.
