business plan: Time for 2013 Midyear Business Plan Review - 07/08/13 11:08 PM
It’s that time of year ... 2nd quarter is officially closed out! I always review my business plan quarterly to see if I’m on track with my goals. Evaluating 4 times a year keeps my performance on the path for success! I always ask my office manager for midyear updates on final accounting for my closings to double check my figures.
I know exactly how many listings I want a year and how many buyers I want to close. The average price point of homes has been escalating which in turn raises my average price of sales which can play a part in arriving at … (21 comments)

Successful people anticipate change and factor "adjustments" into their business plan along with maintaining an optimistic outlook!Utilizing imagination and self-confidence is an important aspect in tweaking how you are perceived by your competition and your clients.  You can make subtle changes and still retain your core self.  Those who resist change will find themselves out of the loop and most likely out of their profession.

business plan: Working Together - 06/01/10 07:48 AM
My husband over the past few years has found the need to go to a Dermatologist to have some sun spots and other markings diagnosed. He is actually having a biopsy done today on a small spot by his nose.
In resesarching Dermatologists he received several recommendations and then went with his gut instinct.  Upon his first visit several years ago with Dr. Renee Snyder he was intrigued with the ambience of the office.  It turns out Dr. Snyder's brother is an artist and designed this fascinating signature mural.  The colors are soothing and the rhythm of the fluid body is … (8 comments)

Do you waste time on non-productive tasks? The greatest expense an agent can have is time spent getting ready to get ready to conduct real estate.  Without a sphere of influence, farm or social networking to connect you are relying on cold calls or phone duty.  Well coordinated time following a business plan must be adhered to attract business or you will be bankrupt long before the first deal.  While your getting ready your competition is "doing !!"

Time is precious and prioritizing activities that generate revenue must be your focus if … (15 comments)

Last summer we were in France and traveled to Saint-Emilion.  This village has taken great care to preserve its rich and impressive historic and architectural heritage.  Those that live there are a radiant symbol of subtle blending of special terroir and men with an obsession for excellence that brings out the very best wines.  The perfectly aligned vineyards are impeccably maintained and each crossroad indicates the most renowned producers of this prestigious appellation.  We were fortunate to have several wonderful tours of the Grand Cru vineyards.  We learned … (8 comments)

business plan: OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW - 12/23/08 04:17 AM
Christmas will be over this week before we can blink an eye!  Next week we ring in the New Year and then it will be time to wipe the slate clean!!  There are a multitude of items you need to take care of and here are just a few:
Delete old emails.  Defrag your computer.
Get a paper shredder (crosscut kind not straight strips) and have at it!  Shred 2008 ATM receipts, utility bills, paycheck stubs more than one year old, quarterly statements from retirement accounts (after getting year end summary) and small purchase receipts that are not deductible.  As Realtors … (3 comments)

business plan: HAVE YOU PREPARED YOUR BUSINESS PLAN FOR 2009? - 12/05/08 08:45 AM
Everyone is busy with the holidays but your business plan needs to be formulated now.  Business doesn't just happen, it needs to be planned.  Have you got your plan in place or still thinking about it?  If you haven't started then try these 5 easy steps:
1. Steven Covey says start with the end in mind. This makes sense, pretend its December 2009:

a. How much income do you want to make in 2009?
b. How many transactions will that take?
c. How many more or less is that than I did in 2008?

2. What am I going to … (5 comments)
