presents: Sisters ~ A quiet moment - 12/28/10 11:38 PM
After the Christmas presents were opened and dinner was devoured the afternoon slowly began winding down.  It was chilly outside and our two granddaughters were mellowing out and enjoying the warmth of the fire.  I guess I'll always remember this quiet moment I saw them sharing.
It made me reflect on Amy Li's quote:
"Having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of.  You know whatever you do, they'll still be there."

Most families took time Sunday to let their Mother know how much she means and did this in a variety of ways: Some enjoyed wonderful stories shared in worship services, others through cards sent across the miles, others with presents or bouquets of flowers, some made special lunches or dinners and others met at favorite restaurants and others simply called to say "Happy Mother's Day, I love you!"
 
Our family likes to get together and with everyone's schedule it is hard to make that happen often enough!!  We enjoyed an entertaining and enlightening church service about … (20 comments)
