It's a LOVE Overdose!
 
I am probably the world's worst abuser of the word love.
 
"I love your new profile picture!"
 
"love ♥ Love ♥ ♥ LOVE it ♥ ♥ ♥ !"
 
and
 
♫ I love that song! ♪
 
are just three examples of comments that I make often. While the comment does reflect the fact that I really like something, does the word LOVE being used so thoughtlessly diminish the things that I really do love?
 
I think of the boy who cried wolf. He did it so often that he was ignored when the wolf really came.
 
Even worse than being ignored would be the loss of trust. If I "love" everything, what makes you or yours special?
 
This Valentine season I am making a commitment to use the word love when love applies and begin to "really like" more things.
 
I wonder how my heavenly Father feels when I tell him that I love Him and then turn around and say that I love Mexican Food?
 
He sent His son, Jesus, to be the Bread of Life and I compare him to fajitas. REALLY?!
