Travel- we always take the less traveled road
If there is a long way there Donald and I can find it. We drive to our family's home out on the west coast every couple of years and well I am pretty sure we've taken a different path every time.  We've traveled with one child cross country and we've traveled with three children cross country. It's always an adventure. Out last visit the route went something like this:
We had planned to go to Dodge City, but it didn't work out that way, instead we traveled further north in Kansas and met up with a friend Donald knew from high school.  Then we decided to take the scenic route through the snowy 3 degree rocky mountains to Arches National Park.  That's the photo I want to share.  If you haven't been... I highly suggest it.  And if you are going to walk the "primative" path like I did around the arches then I suggest fall.  We could see snow capped mountains near by and it was just in the 40s, but that seems like perfect hiking weather to me. 
This is my favorite "travel" photo from that trip (family photos excluded of course because I love my family more than an destination). ... more
