Finding solace in sunrises and sunsets was a key part of my past few months.  I live in Colorado, a very far distance from my family on the east coast.  My mother, who has been my mentor and inspiration for my entire life, recently had to undergo radiation treatments for lung cancer. She has never smoked a cigarette in her life so this diagnosis has been even harder to accept.  Two and half years ago, she had surgery to remove the lesions....it has come back.  I traveled back to Virginia to be with her as she endured these treatments.
