A Dozen and a Half Ways to Make it Rain in Real Estate - 10/19/10 10:33 PM
I subscribe to Margaret's blog and was reading her post today. She mentioned this post she had done some time ago. I think it is worth reblogging. Enjoy! Via HomeRome Realty Author:Real Estate the Rome Way 410-530-2400: What is your game plan for this changing market? Too many people have accepted the "fact" that we're in a down real estate market. We need to remember that the media is trying to sell news, not houses. Ask the woman whose house has been listed for almost two months and she'll tell you the market is terrible. But then ask the man who just sold (7 comments)
Accessorize for Details - 10/18/10 11:28 PM
Accessorize for Details After you've completed all the necessary staging of the home, you might want to look outside, at a few accessories or details that will help. The house number-it should be large and in an easy to see location. You don't want people guessing if they are at the right house. Mailboxes-make sure it is in good condition and spotless. If you need to paint, go ahead, if it needs replacing, it won't cost much and will make a big impact. Welcome Mat-a nice new welcome mat at the front door says more than "welcome". Fall in Georgia 2010 - 10/17/10 10:12 PM
Fall 2010 What a perfect day it was today! Sun was shining and it was about 78 degrees with no humidity. Stunning! It is hard to think about freezing weather right around the corner, but it will come. I took advantage of the day and took a few photos from my Mom’s house in LaGrange. We don’t see the sharp color changes of the leaves, but these photos will show a hint of the Fall season upon us. I hope you enjoy! "Fall 2010"Create a free slideshow with Picnik! (7 comments)

Staging Photos - 10/15/10 11:38 PM
Staging Photos Here are a few tips that might help you when you finish your staging and want to take photos for your advertising… When you take your photos you want to use as wide angle lense as you can. It will enable you to get more of the room in the photo at one time. But remember that you also want to take photos of the details that need to be shown. It might be the crown molding in the living room, the banister on the stairs and those extras in the kitchen cabinets. You need to have the (13 comments)
A Spa- Like Bathroom - 10/11/10 09:05 PM
A Spa-Like Bathroom Bathrooms are important rooms to enhance when you are staging a home to sell. Along with the kitchen and master bath, they are the most important rooms to give those extra touches. If your bathroom has colored counters and fixtures, you might want to work at de-emphasizing those with more neutral colors. If your bathroom fixtures are blue, you might want to accent with soft greys, brown or silver. Adding a shiny shower curtain brings in the image of the spa. Add some grey or silver towels to enhance the look. Make sure you have a luxurious shower (3 comments)

This post struck a cord with me. It is certainly important to take time for your family and yourself. This business can consume you because most of us like doing the work.
