This weekend I will spent with the one's I love most, my family. We are heading to the beach near Pensacola, Fla. From Destrehan it is a easy 5 hour drive. I love but after 5 hours in the car, I will need some liquid refreshment if you know what I mean. If all you do is work what is the point. As a real estate investor, my normal maintenance issue includes air conditioning and plumbing. In southeast Louisiana it is mainly air condition issue. On occasion plumbing issue do arise. When plumbing needs need addressing it usually involves the toilet. A license master plumber is about 100 - 150 per hour. I often find it cheaper to just change out the toilet with a Home Depot special toilet in a box for 79.99. For some quick tips on how to problem shoot a toilet go to This Old House website.

I have a client I am working with. She is a first time buyer and as a lot of advisors lending advise. One adviser recommends getting an inspection of a property before she places a contract on the property. That's ok I guess, but what if someone comes and places a purchase agreement during this inspection period? She would be out of the cost of the inspections.

I was driving to preview Homes for sale in Destrehan LA. I pulled into the gas station and paid $3.87 per gallon. I just read Stewart Penn post on West Hollywood gas prices. During the week I saw a news piece on a car using water to power the engine. With all the technogoly we have and American know how what is the dely with reducing our dependience on  oil. Well the Cubs pull another win out last night. I will attend The Cubs at home in August. Next month we will travel to watch the Cubs vs. Houston in Houston. It is amazing the amount of Cubs fans there are. Everywhere I seem to find them.
The Cubs are supporting the best record in all of the MLB with a 37 and 21 record.

Today, I ran across an interesting New Orleans own website. The website is the bigeasy.com. It contains all Natural New Orleans items. Although it is gear to the tourist, locals my fine it very helpful. Today the temperature is in the high 80's and is great for walking around in the French Quarter (don't forget to sip on some Kool Aid;). The crayfish are quite large and plenty full. Shrimp season will open shortly so come on down and enjoy yourself the water is great.

I took off the last couple of weeks of May. It seems with the school year ending and baseball going into full force; I did not have enough time for posting or much of anything else. Now that all the graduations are done I can get back to business. If you have not sign up for HP Learning Center you need to do so. All the classes are Free. There is a new class starting this week.
