When looking to buy or sell homes for sale in Kenner, Destrehan, Slidell, look to an agent who has purchase several properties in these areas and willing to share his experience. As a buyer and seller agent I always recommend full inspections to be performed. One way to prevent any delays in the closing process is to have an inspection preform by the seller before a offer arrives. Today was a typical day; probably no different from most Realtors. When in the introduction stage of any relationship typical comments are passed along. When just about everyone I meet on the street finds out you're a Realtor the question pops up. How's the market? This part is typical. Now the hard part, do you say it is a tough market or it just great?

Cell phones numbers going public. I am already getting calls from vendors who want for a fee to get my website on the first page of google. This is the site you can register all your cell phones to block telemarketers. It takes about 1 minute to complete.  For each cell phone you register you will receive an email. You can also call 888.382.1222 from the cell phone you want blocked. If you call it blocks the phone for 5 years.

The Brokers Tour committee held a meeting today instead of our normal viewings. In the meeting, a total of six different Brokers were represented. In addition, also in attendance were a home inspector and a contractor.

Today is the end of the voter registration in Louisiana. This is one of the most important elections. It is our right to vote. It has been paid for and currently being paid for. We are free people and a free nation. On November 4, 2008 the election is part of the process. You cannot complain if you do not vote.

There is good news and bad news as the old saying goes. The good news is that income property does bring in good money. The bad side is dealing with the tenants. Now I will not give you my thoughts on the lending practices of today. I feel they will change shortly.

When purchasing investment property one of my businesses philosophy as well as personal rules are to buy locally. When investing in real estate with my own money I have and will always purchase property that I can reach within 15 minutes. I have owned property that was only a 45 minute drive which turned out very bad. One way a 45 minute drives to check a plumbing issue or pick up a rent, not fun and who has the time.
