The Illinois Marine Corps League, 2^nd District Detachment to Sponsor Annual Golf Fundraiser to Assist Local Military Personnel & Families.

Cary, Illinois, August 9, 2007:  The public is invited to participate in an annual Golf Outing Fundraiser to benefit The Heart of a Marine Foundation on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at the Chalet Hills Golf Club (943 Rawson Bridge Road, Cary, Illinois).  Starting time is 12:30 p.m. and the per person donation is $115 (includes 18 holes of golf, cart and locker room privileges, driving range, dinner buffet and patriotic music).  Early Bird registration before July 1^st is $100 per individual golfer and $400 for a golf foursome.

Golf Chairman Ken Hauser adds that those who would like to support The Heart of A Marine Foundation in this event but do not golf may do so in several ways.  "Those who wish to attend the dinner only may do so for $40 per person.  Sponsorships are also available.  You can sponsor a Marine for the event for $110, sponsor a tee box for $125, a golf cart for $60, or donate goodie bag items."

The golf event will begin with registration from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by golf shotgun start at 12:30 p.m., cocktails and cash bar at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:00 p.m.  Prizes, awards and raffle winners will be announced after 6:00 p.m. 

Hauser adds:  "This event helps provide funds for a great organization doing great work.  The Heart of a Marine Foundation provides assistance to military personnel, veterans, and their families, in all branches of the armed services by offering comfort, support, financial assistance and educational resources.  By participating in this golf outing as a golfer or as a sponsor you can have a positive impact on your community and honor those who are giving so much to defend our freedom."

This event needs tons of help!  Golfers, donations, dinner guests, sponsors, people to work at the event & the sale of 50/50 Raffle Tickets. Please note ladies are most welcome to join in the fun and will have their own prize category.
