Largesse is the new word of the day. - 04/30/12 03:31 AM

Largesse is the new word of the day.
No this is not Key Largo but largesse.  I think we have all done this at one time or another so as I grew older I did not see any reason to do this.  Don’t get me wrong I still know people who do this and I just can’t see why.  So the meaning of (lar jes’) is a gift or gifts given in a generous or sometimes showy way.  So tell me do you know people who do this?  What say you?

Barge-board is the new words of the day.
I know you’ve seen this but did you know there was a word for it.  As I’m writing this I’m looking at a picture of it in my Webster’s ®.  These are sadly going away and you need to enjoy them while you can.  It’s a sign of the times when expediency are the norm.  Now for the meaning of (-bord’) is a board, often ornate, attached along the barge couples of a gabled roof, as in Tudor and Gothic architecture.  That people was a mouthful.  Enjoy the day.
