The Wild Animal Sanctuary is located in Keenesburg CO, about 30 minutes northeast of Denver.   This is a non-profit that rescues and rehabilitates animals that have been illegal or have been abused.   Most animals were older animals and will remain at the Sanctuary for the rest of their lives.   They have open habitats to enjoy the outdoors.  There are around 600 animals on 10,500 acres.

 The annual Denver Chalk Art Festival will be held in Larimer Square to promote arts awareness and education in Denver.  For two days the street will be closed in order to transform Larimer Square into a Museum of Chalk Art.   You will see artists turning pavement into a canvas of art with vivid pastel chalk.   There are 200 artists expected this weekend.

If you still do not have plans for this special evening, think about going downtown to enjoy the BIG fireworks display scheduled off 16th Street.    There will be one show at 9 pm and one at midnight, and should be bigger and better than past years!
 
Whatever you end up doing, be safe, and do not drink and drive!    The men and women in blue will be out in full force tonight.    Many cab companies, Uber & Lift are offering free rides home, and RTD buses.
