sunset: A sunset over the Hudson River in Hudson NY

Obviously, this Hudson River sunset was from a different time of year, however, looking at the photo made me wish for a time when the snow was behind us, If you are not familiar with this area in the background you are looking at the top of the Catskills Mountains. The body of water is the well known Hudson River and the photo was taken from the Henry Hudson Riverfront Park in Hudson NY located in the Hudson Valley.
What can I say, Hudson is a popular word in this region.
During the winter because of the lack of leaves on the trees, I really appreciate the sunset in Red Hook NY even more. Each day the colors in the sky are a bit different, thus producing a unique sunset. Cloud in the sky, a colorful sunset , snow on the ground and a barren tree together is a scene that can be entertaining until Spring arrive.

sunset: Today a snowstorm and a spectacular sky

Today it snowed most of the day. It was fun watching from my office window as the trees were coated with fluffy snow. The snowstorm finally came to an end in the late afternoon, and I decided then to shovel the driveway, My timing was good because shortly after I started shoveling, the sun was setting, the sky seem to be on fire, what a contrast to the fresh snow. A Hudson Valley sunset this weekend We have been experiencing warmer than usual weather here in the Hudson Valley. The sunsets and sunrises have been spectacular too. Today however was different, I woke up to a thick fog, however it wasn't a pea soup fog. The days also ended with a thick fog, maybe tomorrow the lovely sunsets will return.

I was walking the grounds at Mills Mansion in Staatsburg NY just around sunset. The property is located on the banks of the Hudson River, what a thrill it was to be there to see a glorious sunset over the Hudson River. The sun diappearing over the Catskill Mountain, and the golden reflection of the sun's rays was a sight to behold.

Sunset This is a photo of a sunset I took while dining along the waterfront at a restaurant in Ocean City Maryland. I will always watch a sunset and if I remember correctly I was more interested in the sunset than in the dinner. Good thing I was with family, they are accustom to my distractions.

Does a showing time matter? Yes it can. Recently I had a last minute request for a second showing, it was late evening and the sunset was setting over the mountains; what a spectacular sunset. What was so important about the sunset? It made the potential buyers had a greater appreciation of the views this property offered. Witnessing this, I am positive if I showed the property at noon time the effect would have been so different.The point is, if you have properties with great views try to maximize these features by showing the property, for example at sunset.

This evening I saw this sunset; and today was a beautiful day. With hurricane Irene knocking on our doors I wondered if the sun will shine this weekend? I have survived many hurricanes, and I can tell you it is important to follow the directives given regarding evacuating your home. I will admit as a child it was fun watching the trees bend over as if to kiss the ground. I even thought it was cool watching the water rise but as I matured it wasn't so funny anymore. This afternoon I had a few appointments, all in all it was a very productive afternoon. Heading home a little after 5PM I saw the colors and sun shining on the snow through the trees. Since I am am never tired of sunsets I pulled over. I was so disappointed when my camera would not stay on, maybe it was cold. Then I remembered the cellphone and I was delighted that I was able to capture this late January Sunset. Yes I am never tired of you.

This evening while running an errand I came across a beautiful scene. It was just about the time when the sun was setting; I was just going by an open field in Red Hook when I noticed the the colors in the sky and that big ball of fire. At that point I just had to pull over and get my camera out; and I was glad I did because this was truly a magnificent scene.
