This was my father's heaven on earth. Just below this group of chairs was his dock and his boat. He spent every hour of every weekend here in his paradise. This was most of the wonderful memories during his wake. My father bought this property after the flood (in PA) of 1972. I was a church camp when the flood occurred and he to his death does not realize that I almost dround in the ocean at our camp in Virginia. Father's day is Sunday. The younger people on here don't quite understand the meaning of this day...Well, at least I don't think. We alway's take parent's for granted, at least while they are young. By young, I mean...you have teenagers.... Today, Tim Russert died...at 58, his son just graduated from college... Please say a prayer for those troop's who are serving to protect our country this weekend. As, many times, we just have parties and it's a day off. Please, remember the men and women who are working abroad and are there without their spouses and children. Please pray for them, say a prayer for them and remember, they are giving up their time with their children to protect our country! Their children are suffering, to save our lives, while their father's are situate in a situation to protect us all. How do you all feel, WHO HAVE SON'S AND DAUGHTER'S FIGHTING … (5 comments)

In our lives we face many challenges. Perhaps it's an engagement, perhaps it's a marriage, perhaps it is a marriage, yes I said that twice. I have met many wonderful people on AR who are still happy with their spouses. That is so wonderful in my mind. My parents have been married for almost 58 years. I cannot imagine them without each other, My mother always relied on my dad, he was always the "ROCK" and he looks, physically 20 years younger than he is, I have his gene's...and yeah! I'm sorry, but I'm not in the real estate mode today. I am thinking about the service men and women serving out country. I am thinking about the fact that I have 3 wonderful children and that I still have my parents, As many of you know, my father has a fast growing Brain Cancer.
