If you are like me, you love to get a great deal. Here are some great tips to maximize your savings!
 
1. Make a plan. Plan meals before you shop so you stick to only what you need.
 
2. Don't get sucked in by sale prices. Those prices are not always as great as they seem. Carry a calculator for quick math to see how the sale price compares with the regular price. to get a steal, wait until the price is at least 50 % below the regular price or it's a buy-one-get-one-free...that's a true deal!

There are some easy ways to use less of our planet's most precious resource---and keep more cash in  your pocket.
 
Here are 5 Water Saving Strategies:
1.  Your monthly savings can be 240 gallons if, when brushing your teeth, you rinse when you're done rather than letting the water run.  Yearly savings:  $11.
 
2.  Your annual savings will be 2,130 gallons if you run your washing machine only when it is full.  Yearly savings $8.
 
3.  You can save 50 gallons per shower if you use a low-flow shower head for just 10 minutes.  Annual savings $271.

I heard someone say this the other day on TV, "Being Frugal Is In!".  It made me think about how I have made some conscious decisions to save a penny here and there.  Although I have always tried to be smart when it comes to money, I think I have especially focused on tightening the belt a bit more lately due to the hard economic times.
 
When at the grocery store, I always try to stick to my list, and avoid impulse buys (again I try!).  I also purchase store brands when possible (although my hubby refuses to do … (28 comments)
