As I mentioned yesterday, I am tackling my spring cleaning right now (a bit late I realize)....Here are some tips on how to clean your overhead fixtures:
Hanging lamps: Always turn power off. For pendants, wash the glass globe in the sink. If it's not fragile, pop the dome into the dishwasher. use distilled white vinegar and a microfiber cloth to polish the rest of the fixture. I am in the middle of my spring cleaning tasks around the house, as I am sure many of you are. I am a bit late this year, but better late than never :-). Here is a great way to tackle cleaning your walls and baseboards.
For Baseboard cleaning, first dry dust or hand vacuum with a brush attachment and revisit with a rag and a bucket of hot soapy water. Or, you can clean on a low setting with an extension attachment on a household steamer.
