Release 3.0 of iPhone will support tethering and be blessed by AT&T.
Tethering allows you to connect your iphone directly to your laptop for a connection to the Internet. 
Until now it could be done, but you risked violating your agreement with AT&T.
According to a sales representative at Best Buy the feature should be available in the mid June time-frame.
I've been very happy with he speed of the connection on my iphone, but my eyes get tired looking at that small screen after ten or fifteen minutes.

THIS IS THE SECOND MONTH OF INCREASING SALES VOLUME AND MAY BE A SIGN THE WE HAVE FOUND THE FLOOR IN CERTAIN MARKET SEGMENTS.
Homes below $150,000 are still a the most active parts of the market.  We are seeing an increase in the over $200,000 price point also.  Even 400 to 500k is showing a small amount of interest, but nothing to get excited about yet.
