Happy Halloween!!! - 10/31/11 06:17 AM
OK I know at my age really? Well I happen to really like Halloween and adult costume parties are way fun too. I don't think I will redo this one tonight for the kiddies but it sure was fun on Saturday night! Unfortunately the costume had no pockets for my business cards so it was a evening of all play and no work for a change-a very welcome change. Me as a VOODOO PRIEST I hope everyone has a fun and very safe Halloween!

ART FESTIVAL-FORT LAUDERDALE-TODAY - 10/23/11 07:37 AM
Today is the last day for the Las Olas Arts Festival. What a great weekend event with local and national artists representing their work on one of Americas premier retail/restaurant and historic boulevards. The weather couldn't be nicer either-high 70's, sunny and low humid! The boulevard is closed off to vehicular traffic and becomes one two lane pedestrian venue. Come stroll, sip, dine and buy some artwork! Fido and Fifi friendly too. This area is a great place to call home as well. There are luxury condos on one end at the river front, mixed

The FIRST COLD FRONT of the year! - 10/20/11 05:51 AM
Yes folks the first cold front of the year has passed through Florida wiping out the ugly, messy weather system that has hung over us for 5 days. The rain is finally gone after almost non stop downpours and drizzle. We like our sunshine here, after all we are called the Sunshine State for a reason! Also gone is the humidity. I stepped out doors this morning @ 4:45 and it was a fresh 64 degrees. Highs only expected in the upper 70's. After an extended summer culminating with a tropical mess for 5 straight days this is more than welcome.

Drill BABY Drill-REALLY? - 10/18/11 06:17 AM
There is almost nothing I enjoy more than a relaxing day at the beach. Just about any sandy beach will do but I have a great one in my backyard. As I gaze at the deep blues that gradiate to crystal clear tourquise at the shoreline and breath in the pure air that has traveled across the Atlantic my mind tries to envision this peaceful scene dotted with oil rigs. It seems certain folks in this country with their band leader Sarah Palin, for one, think that is the answer to all the countries woes. I can mention Governor

Rise & Shine! - 10/16/11 07:38 AM
I commented on this post yesterday and was drawn back to it today. I happen to enjoy reading and like Wandanna a lot and felt it worthy of reposting. I will add that though there may be physical limits to some, I do not believe there are mental limits to what anyone of us can achieve. Challenging ones' self to the outer edges of ones' comfort zones will open new worlds and create new energies making a better and more complete human. RED SKY IN MORN....... - 10/13/11 07:37 AM
Growing up on the water I remember some family member or several of them saying "red sky in morn, sailors be warned" and never forgot it. As I was preparing to write a blog I noticed this glow and grabbed the camera. These are 100% natural un-retouched or doctored photos of the Fort Lauderdale sunrise this morning. It actually looks more like one of our typical sunsets but it is in fact sunrise in the tropics. All you boaters may want to check the marine forecast before leaving port today! The real estate market may still be a bit

Never Burn Your Bridges In This Business - 10/09/11 07:52 AM
Not burning bridges or closing doors on customers is a life lesson learned through ones own experiences and expressed well here by Mike Cooper. If I closed the door on all the problematic customers and listings in my career I probably would not have one today. Via Mike Cooper, Real Estate Agent-Broker, Winchester,VA (Cornerstone Business Group, Inc.): I have a piece of advice for you, "Never burn your bridges in this business." I've blogged about a listing I have that has had issues. The house is beautiful in so many ways, but it was unfinished and then vandalized by the owners on their

COLOR-FALL LEAVES FROM CNY - 10/09/11 07:19 AM
These photos where actually all taken from my property in NY. Autumn is in full swing up there. Besides natures' colorful displays it is very fun to see the transition from summer to fall in the social activities. When I was up there during the summer it was all about the beach and cook-outs and cold beer. This trip it was hayrides, apple picking and hot cider. I decided I liked the hard cider best-I wonder why!

Water-Fall Colors - 10/09/11 07:08 AM
Last weekend when I took a quick trip up to my country house in Central NY state I was on an autumn leaf hunt mission. I traveled around the area to all best spots to capture some colorful displays and was not disappointed. I also visited a nearby waterfall where I was the only human around which was awesome! This is Chittenango falls which has wooded paths from top to bottom.

Pretty in PINK! - 10/06/11 05:37 AM
On my quest for autumn color here in South Florida I photographed this beautiful pink sky last evening. This is an un-enhanced photo of pure natural colors. As the summer weather patterns transition into autumnal patterns we get to witness this change in the atmosphere during sunset time. The presentation of the colorful skies truly is a wonder to behold. See the fiery sky I photographed a couple days ago in a previous posting. This time of year mother nature really treats us here with her Happy Hour Sunset show every night!

Wait One Moment.... Didn't You Promise Tomorrow Will Be Better Than Yesterday? - 10/06/11 05:22 AM
I came across this post from one of my favorite AR bloggers and thought it was an appropriate way to start the day. Here is to living all of our BEST LIVES possible! Via Wandanna Melliphant - Specializes In Helping Mississauga First Time Buyers (Royal Lepage Credit Valley Real Estate Brokerage): Wait One Moment.... Didn't You Promise Tomorrow Will Be Better Than Yesterday? Life has a practice of living you, if you don’t live it. - By Philip Larkin. AUTUMN COLORS-SOUTH FLORIDA ADDITION - 10/05/11 07:09 PM
After a quick weekend trip up to Central NY on a visit to see autumn foliage I started to think about my home in south Florida. The fact that we don't have that treat like most of the country made me feel a bit envious. After a few hours back home I forgot about it, that was until last night when my home office began to glow. I looked out of my window and saw a very fiery autumn sky. Grabbing my camera a ran outdoors to shoot it and now here they are. The autumn colors of south Florida

Autumn Arrives in Central NY State - 10/02/11 10:01 AM
Autumn Arrives in Central NY State This is a Semi-Silent Sunday post of some autumn leaves photographed at my country home. Florida is my main home and I would not give up the coconut palms for anything but it is truly gorgeous to see the change of seasons up north from summer to autumn. Glad I don't have to rake the leaves though!

Building bridges on Active Rain - 10/02/11 09:03 AM
Building relationship bridges on Active Rain has made my blogging adventure an experience I could only have dreamed of. When I first got started here at the suggestion of a friend I thought to myself "well ok lets see what happens with this". Then to my surprise and amazement the kind folks here came out in droves! Most with constructive criticism which was much needed and lots of support. Reading others and the comments included have helped forge my own way of writing and commentary to others as well.
