The Annual Santa Cruz Clam Chowder Cook-Off just concluded last weekend. Held near the end of February each year, this was the first time the event was held for two days. It is a festival where both professional and amateur chefs compete. Amateur chefs were featured on Saturday and the pros were featured on the Sunday of the festival. This past year marked 36 years for the beloved event. The cook-off is hosted by the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, a local seaside amusement park that opened in 1907.
