LIFE IS GOOD - WHEN YOU'RE IN CHARGE - 05/31/12 07:14 AM
It rests with heaven to decide who shall be chief among us, but you shall be master in your own house and over your own possessions. ---Homer,The Odyssey
I remember how excited I was to leave my parent’s home – wasn’t that the reason why I got married in the first place? A teenager doesn't want to live with their parents forever, you know...
Eight years of grammar school PLUS kindergarten and FOUR years of High School, AND living my whole life under my parents roof taught me everything I needed to you, you know...  What's the big deal and how hard could … (13 comments)

LIFE IS GOOD WITH GOOD FIRST IMPRESSIONS - 05/30/12 04:19 AM
KISS AND TELL

I’m not the type of girl who will kiss and tell but I can say, my first kiss made quite an impression on me. I remember exactly where I was (Thatcher Woods), the date (September 3), how old I was (sweet 16), what time it was (10:10 a.m.), who I was with (friends from the neighborhood), what I was doing (on a picnic), and who kissed me (a boy that I really liked). As the sun rays cut through the narrow path of trees, I was in love.
What I remember the most was how he made … (26 comments)

Life is Good When You Don't Have an Elephant on your Chest - 05/27/12 04:30 AM
Life is good when you can capitalize on opportunities for learning and you have the freedom to know you can live and work wherever you choose, despite the economy. Pressure from job loss, dependence on government programs, the inability to own property because of bank rules and regulations, causes stress and nobody needs to feel the weight of an elephant on their chest. Being human, means having humanity and compassion. Punishment or being forced to live a certain way, is a form of control. Antiquated ways must be banned. People need to get more involved, starting at their local government and fight for positive … (46 comments)

LIFE IS GOOD WHEN THERE IS LIFE BALANCE - 05/23/12 05:40 AM
Life is good when business is buzzing – finding life balance is the challenge when opportunities are booming here in TEXAS! I haven't found much time to sleep since I got back from D.C. from the 2012 NAR Midyear Meetings and EXPO. After the Rally I visited the Zoo because my flight didn't leave till 7. I'm so glad I got to see the Flamingos who reminded me that Life is Good when there is Life Balance!

No matter what your career or occupation is, Life is Good when there is Life Balance! Today, my clients from Tennessee are flying in … (21 comments)

Life is Good - A Day in The Sun - 05/21/12 12:43 PM
A day in the sun at the Washington, D.C., Zoo proved to be worry-free because  LIFE IS GOOD!
After the REALTOR® Rally, which I wrote about in one of my recents posts, I spent some time enjoying the zoo. The people were just as interesting to me, as the animals. This Cheetah got my attention real quick and it didn't take long before people came in droves to see what I was seeing. Is it human nature for other people to be curious to know what others are interested in? I tested my theory.
I deliberately gravitated to parts of the zoo where nothing appeared to … (24 comments)

Home Ownership Matters! - 05/18/12 12:12 PM
I literally just got home from the NAR 2012 MIDYEAR MEETING in D.C. Here I am with Connie Niedzwiecki, our PIC for GLAR (Greater Lewisville Association of REALTORS®and Jeri Boland-Bucker, our Association President.

As Chair of Government Affairs for my Association for 2012, it's been an exciting year to be involved in the REALTOR® Party. Standing in front of the Washington Monument, listening to Dr. Martin Luther King's, recorded speech on, "I HAVE A DREAM," in the nation's capital, and to be at the Rally that drew in more than 13,000 REALTORS® from all over the United States, made me feel like … (42 comments)

What Could Be More Important Than Being A Mother? - 05/13/12 08:14 AM
My Son tells me I’m going to be a Grandma! I’ve always said, children are full of surprises.
Look who went shopping! Now I have to sell more houses so that I can make that trip to Chicago for the baby shower and for the expected time of arrival. For now, I have to buy my granddaughter some new clothes!
A girl just can’t have enough clothes, wouldn’t you agree? Shoes, toys, stuffed animals, blankets, and all that stuff comes with the price tag of raising a child.
Never, in a million years did I think I was going to be … (28 comments)

Message from Dr. Michael Burgess, Texas Congressman - 05/03/12 04:58 AM
I am proud to be an American. I'm even prouder to know that Texas has a great Congressman named Dr. Michael Burgess. Today, he announces and reflects on the National Day of Prayer. I hope you'll take a moment to hear his brief message. You may be surprise - you may be inspired. In any case, have a blessed day and be proud of your country and your faith.

The Winner(s)...with a Twist at The First Annual ActiveRain "Be The 'Star'of Your Own Movie"! - 05/03/12 03:43 AM
This is a re-blog of the Fabulous "First Annual ActiveRain, "Be the 'Star' of Your Own Movie." They were all great movie stories; but I have to agree, Debb is deserving of this great honor. She's a woman with class and style (look how she's dressed) both in a glamorous gown and fishing clothes! She makes a fashion statement since the beginning of time!
I wish I could have been at the Oscar Ceremonies, those gowns and Tuxes are unbelievable, but I have to say, Craig's tops them all! Everyone looks stunning! If Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe were still alive, … (5 comments)
