So. I've been inspired by many AR members, including Debb Janes, Debbie Reynolds, Fernando Herboso and Charlie Dresen, to start getting serious about using video in my blog. I have listened to them, and I know they're right about the power of video. But it isn't something that you can just jump into, so I started with Craig Daniels' excellent video class - Craig is still working on it, but you can sign up for the initial modules, which I found to be tremendously helpful - got some video editing software and started to make videos. While all of y'all just had to do a post a day for 31 days for Kerrie's March contest, I wasn't so lucky. A while back, I had some fun picking on Roger Mucci during his movie challenge, about the confusion regarding whether a video submission was required or not. It was all meant in good fun, but Roger, as many of you know, has absolutely no sense of humor. If there's one thing you can count on here in ActiveRain, it is having the opportunity to face and conquer new challenges. And as they arise, there's another thing you can count on - each challenge you take on will make you better at what you do. That's a pretty powerful motivator. Up until now, video has been one of those things that seem to have taken up permanent residence on my to-do list.
