California real estate sales on the rise.

Wooh! We are back to Friday once again. I am looking forward to the weekend. I hope you are too. I have mentioned before about the fact that nobody knows how long the real estate market will favor buyers as it has been now for years. There is beginning to be more reports that property sales are increasing. This, of course is great for the economy. But as the demand for real estate increases and the supply lessens, prices will be driven higher.
If you have been considering taking advantage of the … (0 comments)

california: TV Writer's La Jolla Estate for Sale for $27.3 Million - 8.16.2012 - 08/16/12 06:52 AM
Just one of the many happy La Jolla residents.

La Jolla is a beautiful southern California location. Known for the scenic drive along the water complete with various ocean loving birds and bathing sea lions. The latter of which has created controversy at times, it is also known for high end real estate.
Some people reading this may live in La Jolla. I do not. Because I don’t live there nor do I own an expensive home, it can be fun to drive around the area to admire these gorgeous properties. Currently there is one such piece of real estate … (1 comments)

california: California's Million Dollar Home Sales on the Rise - 8.13.2012 - 08/13/12 10:51 AM

I have a new appreciation for ice.

Welcome to another Monday and another day of this unfathomable heat wave! If you are in San Diego, Los Angeles or elsewhere in California, you have most certainly been faced with the challenge of staying cool the last several days. Other western states, including Arizona has been plagued with scorching triple digit temperatures too.  Personally, I am favoring the air conditioned indoors to any outdoor option. However, many have been trekking to the cooler beach areas, lured by the thought of taking a refreshing dip. Of course, since the Discovery Channel’s all … (2 comments)

As we close out our mountain themed week, I am venturing to Arizona. You may or may not envision mountains when you think of Arizona, but the Grand Canyon State, actually has 194 mountain ranges. You can view the complete list at the link below.

I am not familiar with all of the mountain ranges of Arizona, but the area that comes to mind for me is Sedona. Below is a link to available Sedona, Arizona real estate.

california: Cowles Mountain in San Diego County's San Carlos - 8.9.2012 - 08/08/12 09:16 PM

Continuing with my mountain theme for the week I thought I would venture to a hiker’s favorite, Cowles Mountain. Located within Mission Trails Park in an area of East San Diego County known as San Carlos, Cowles Mountain has an elevation of 1,592 feet. It is actually the highest point in San Diego County. Its main hiking trail is one of the most popular in the area and offers a 360 degree view.
San Carlos is located near La Mesa, Santee and San Diego’s, “College Area” where you can find the home of the Aztecs, San Diego State University.

california: Hard Money Lender Shares Available Mount Shasta Real Estate - 8.6.2012 - 08/06/12 06:12 PM

This is not Mt. Shasta. But well... you get the idea.

Okay. So we’ve talked beach. We’ve talked desert. What’s left? How about mountains?! Today I want to focus on Mount Shasta. When I made my big move down from Seattle to San Diego one place that really made an impact on me along the way was Mount Shasta.
Located just over the Oregon border with similarly abundant green trees and natural beauty as seen in the Pacific Northwest, this northern California town is located less than a five hour drive from big city San Francisco. Find out more … (0 comments)

This isn't my dog, but she sure looks ready to go!

If you have read previous blog posts, you probably have realized that I love animals. Especially my dog! Whenever I travel, my first questions is… can I take my dog. I do travel without her, but if there’s a way she can go with me, that is my first choice.
In keeping with our desert theme, I wanted to share more about Arizona. Below is a link to a great website. It is a compilation of dog friendly, lodging, restaurants and other resources throughout the United States.

  Your desert dream house awaits.
Welcome to a new month everyone! I always think of August as being the hottest month of the year. Of course, that depends on what part of the planet you reside in. I can only imagine how high the temperatures were today in the deserts of Arizona. Luckily, we have the convenience of the internet. We can sit in an air conditioned room, such as I am, and shop for real estate!

california: Palm Springs Hard Money Loans and Private Investments - 7.30.2012 - 07/30/12 02:53 PM

I love the fresh, crisp morning desert air.

Welcome to a new week everyone! Last week I had fun highlighting lovely beach areas to consider purchasing property. Let’s change it up a bit. This week I’m going to venture to the desert! Although I love living near the water, one of my fondest childhood memories is waking up in my grandparents’ backyard. They lived near Palm Springs. The cool, crisp desert morning air felt so refreshing and healthy. I always felt rested when I awoke.
Speaking of Palm Springs, let’s go there today! Leave it to good ole Trulia.com … (0 comments)

The San Francisco waterfront is a great place to vacation or live. Just ask these guys!

california: Monterey, California Real Estate and Hard Money Loans - 7.25.2012 - 07/25/12 05:07 PM

Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey, California.

In keeping with my accidental beach theme this week, I thought I would move a bit north to Monterey. Located on the central coast of California, this waterfront city was made famous in author John Steinbeck’s novels, Cannery Row, Tortilla Flat and East of Eden, as well as his play, Of Mice and Men.
Monterey is a five and a half hours drive north of Los Angeles and a little over two hours south of San Francisco. Learn more about beautiful Monterey, California at the link below!

Southern California offers beautiful beach sunsets.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Yesterday I shared my fascination with Malibu real estate, which has been nurtured thanks to Bravo’s real estate focused reality show, Million Dollar Listing. But Los Angeles County isn’t the only area of California offering beautiful beach front living!
Continuing with the attractive beach lifestyle, I wanted to share a website that I found today. It highlights gorgeous homes in beach cities located south of Los Angeles in Orange and San Diego Counties.

california: Malibu Real Estate Funded by Hard Money Loans - 7.23.2012 - 07/23/12 03:48 PM

A lovely Malibu view. It could be yours!

Okay. I admit it. I have been watching more of Bravo TV’s reality show, Million Dollar Listing. Madison, one of the featured real estate agents on the show focuses most of his attention in Malibu, California.
When they show scenes of Malibu I am reminded about one of the main benefits of Southern California. Sandy beaches, waves galore and beautiful, uplifting ocean views are definite perks to live here.
Below is a link to houses for sale in Malibu. One thing I learned from reviewing these listings is the Malibu area … (0 comments)

We all have days and weeks like that. With the weekend upon us, I hope we are all able to take at least some time to rest, relax and rejuvenate.

california: Arizona Real Estate including Frank Lloyd Wright's Designs - 7.18.2012 - 07/18/12 03:32 PM
Desert beauty in Arizona.

I feel like I have been neglecting you Arizona! I’ve been writing a lot about California lately. It’s your turn Copper State! More commonly known as The Grand Canyon State, the desert climate of Arizona claims spring training camps for many major league baseball teams. The San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants and the state’s home club Diamondbacks are just a few of the teams that train in Arizona.
Wright's designs are beyond innovative!

Since we’re talking houses, I wanted to mention that acclaimed architect, Frank Lloyd Wright lived in Arizona for … (0 comments)

How does seeing a full moon make you feel?

What’s scary to one person, may be fun for another. Friday the 13th, Halloween, walking outside at night time with a full moon and other scenarios. Some people live for these experiences, while others choose to avoid them.
There are a lot of situations we come across in life that, depending on your perspective can be seen as exciting or stressful. How we view something will either energize, motivating us to move forward or deplete, discouraging us from further exploration.
An unknown path can be scary or exciting. It's just … (0 comments)

california: Commercial Real Estate Perks - 7.11.2012 - 07/11/12 06:40 PM

Falafels and more! Delish Mediterranean style.

If I owned the property that housed a restaurant, would I get free food? I had an amazing dinner tonight. In addition to writing a blog for Source Capital I perform stand-up comedy. I was booked for a last minute gig tonight at a  Mediterranean restaurant. It was a fun venue with delicious food. Below is a link to the restaurant that offered unbelievable dishes to sample.
If I was their landlord I would want a free food perk!

The fourth of July is a day off for many and an opportunity to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. It can also be a time to reflect on American history. Below is a link to a summary of Independence Day history.
