For those of you who have never been (or even those who have), you must spend an hour on a sunny day winding your way through Bow Mar. As with many rural areas post-WWII, large farms were converted into residential housing developments. Bow Mar is by far one of the most well done farm to subdivision conversions in the Denver Metro area. The town was created in 1958 after most of its 295 residences were already built. All of the homes are on at least one acre and were originally restricted to being only one level. The streets are wide and the mountain views incredible. Bow Mar also has its own private lake with a beach. Not all of the homes are/were mod, but there are some good examples of mid-century and contemporary modern homes in Bow Mar. Here are some photos to get you started, but you should really take your own tour of Bow Mar.
