Credit Card TrapDebt Consolidation Refinance for Bad Spending Habits

I keep hearing these commercials on the radio for a debt consolidation refinance to pay off credit card debt and they are really getting under my skin! These advertisments make it sound like the debt consolidation refinance is the perfect solution to pay off credit card debt and save you thousands. While this may be the only option for some to avoid bankruptcy or to get out from under overwhelming debt, IT SHOULD NOT BE PRESCRIBED AS THE MORNING AFTER PILL FOR BAD CREDIT CARD SPENDING HABITS!

Take it from someone who has made plenty of stupid decisions with money. Trust me…I have paid a lot of “stupid tax”. Before you turn a bunch of unsecured credit card debt into secured debt with a debt consolidation refinance, take a close look at your own spending habits and ask yourself the hard questions. Realize that if you don’t change your spending habits, there is a really good chance that credit card debt will be back before you know it. DON’T call the guy on the radio clearly trying to take advantage of poor spending habits for profit by trying to convince everyone that a debt consolidation refinance is the best way for you to pay off credit card debt...IT MAY NOT BE. Choose to work with a mortgage professional who will give you the information you need to make the right decision for the right reason.
