Help! (plus video) - 07/25/11 02:02 PM
"Help, I need somebody, Help, not just anybody, Help, you know I need someone, Help!" Thus starts the famous Beatles' song from the 1960s. (Video below.) And we don't like to ask for help. (Some of us don't.) I mean, it's a sign of weakness. (Some think it is.) It's a sign of dependence. (And we're supposed to be independent, rugged individualists. It's the American way after all.) And there are other reasons why we don't ask for help. We may be in denial. And to admit we need help would be an admission of a problem we're not wanting (0 comments)
I Didn't Think Doing Real Estate Would Be So Hard - 07/18/11 01:10 PM
"I didn't think doing real estate would be so hard." Have you ever heard anyone say that? (Was it you?) The fact is doing real estate is hard. And it's not just unique to our day. The average failure rate in the first year of people who go into real estate according to a study in the 1990s was just shy of 9 out of every 10. (Are you surprised?) Spend too much time and neglect offline relationships. 7. Broadcast when they're out of town. 8. Publish their scores on games. 9. Want their business page to be an (3 comments)
One Teensy, Weensy, Itsy, Bitsy, Tiny, Whiny, Minor Little Thing - 07/11/11 01:18 PM
So what's the craziest thing that's every happened to you as a homeowner? I'm talking about things that can go wrong ~ and they do go wrong (right?) ~ and they go wrong at the worst possible time (right again?) ~ and when you don't have any money to fix it (right, right, right). Oh, the joys of home ownership. We had this broken pipe, you see (due to a freeze). We tried to save some money by having a "friend" fix it. (First mistake?) He turned off the water. Then came in to turn on the bathtub faucet (4 comments)

Some saw it coming. 2. Some didn't see it coming. 3. Some were prepared for it. 4. Some weren't prepared for it. 5. When it hit, it (0 comments)
