homeownership: One Good Deed... or Two

Does the dream of homeownership still exist? I have to believe so. Yesterday, with the help of my network of professionals, I was able to help a young couple secure their dream of homeownership. We met at a holiday event, and through a relative I learned that this couple had been "turned" down astonishingly enough, by a lender and a real estate salesperson. It seems their budget of $150,000 was just too small. Hmmm. Personally, I think the first time homebuyer market is what is keeping this industry in business. What is moving, and what is not? What is driving our home sales, and where does the market in Tallahassee compare to the overall market in Florida? All great topics covered at a meeting I attended this morning. The meeting was hosted by Stewart Title and the speaker was Ted Jones, Senior Vice President-Chief Economist for Stewart Title .
