So here we go. We submit a very low offer on a foreclosure, the bank gets back to us with "REJECTED" and a big checkmark in the box "no counter". I inform my client that the bank did not counter and he goes ballistic. The last few weeks in our office have been fairly busy. We have had a few housing starts but I believe the uptick is more related to the continued bottoming out in the pricing. This is getting a few fence sitters and small investors moving into the market. We have seen more foreclosures coming on the market. We need jobs here espically in the construction areas. Without a housing recovery and new construction our employment numbers will keep rising. One job opening had 100 applicants which is over the top for our community. We had a walkin last week cash buyer etc. etc. He had the most elaborate line of BS I have ever come across. He worked us with his sick wife and twin daughters, needed to purchase and close in 12 days, had the money and was ready to look for a house. Lost his wallet went to police to get paper work for a new one also the bank to cancell credit cards and order new ones.
