Paris Pictures!

As I'm waiting for my jet-lagged family to rise and shine, I thought I'd post some of the photos that I took yesterday during my travels.  So here goes -

This is the stained glass window above the entrance to Saint Pierre de Montmartre.  It's the little church behind the huge church of Sacre Cour.

And here is the beautiful old wooden door to Saint Pierre.

Here is a view of the city of Paris from the steps of Sacre Cour.

This is a boulangerie I passed on the way down the hill from Sacre Cour.  The French have a way of luring people in by making their window displays just gorgeous.   And it's just bread!  You should see the shoe stores!

I loved this sign on one of the little Montmartre, though I'm not sure what the shop is about.

THis was a really old looking stairway between two ancient looking apartment buildings.

Here is a flirtworthy, age appropriate gentleman I met in the Luxembourg Gardens yesterday.  That's my future stepson in the foreground.  Maybe he'll be my computer kid!

And these little guys are in the window of the chocolatier across the street.  There seems to be a chocolate shop on every block, and I'm trying to figure out how the French women stay so thin with this amazing stuff around!

So now it's off to some more great adventures!  Wonder where getting lost will get me today?

Pat - Looks like you had a wonderful time.  Love the shots but the ones on food really made me extra hunger.  It is not yet 9:00am and I am craving chocolate.

I look forward to more photos, and have a great trip home.

Pat,

I love some of the pastry shops that I find in Italy. I imagine that Paris is much the same.

Every day a new adventure.  I love the door.  I am a door fanatic and want to take a trip just to photograph doors.  But then I like the chocolate also.  The shopkeepers in Quebec City draw people in with their lovely window dressings also.  It's our own little taste of France.

The bread window is so good. It makes me drooling. Unfortunately, we do not often see these in the US.

When you eat their food you can forgive them for everything.
