Office Decor!! Any suggestions

We are opening an office in Fort Walton Beach, not on the beach but close by. Me and my partner can not decide what we want it to look like. So I suggested we ask you. Any Ideas.

I want it be like my office in Pensacola, nice, clean and homey, by the way does anyone know how to get a good smell from a microwave. I tried cooking an apple pie in there but it blew up. I like the homey feel.

Anyway he thinks we ought to go totally professional, state of the art. My question is how does your office look and what are the points of focus. Please help us and thanks in advance.

A lot depends upon the size and location of your office. If you have room for 2 or 3 separate areas, you may want to utilize the space to appeal to a variety of people. If you have a storefront window, I would make it look like someplace a person walking by would want to come inside and see more of. The majority of buyers today are in their late 20's and early 30's. Coffee shops seem to appeal to them. But I've noticed that they also respond well to an old world library feel too. Maybe a mix of old and new with hi tech wi fi, coffee and leather would appeal to young and old clients.

I think state of the art is the best way to go to be completely honest. Look how the buyers and sellers are changing year to year with technology. I have seen some Coldwell Banker offices go really hip with a nice waiting area with a plasma, they even had a coffee/ juice shop in there building and offered free WiFi internet. I think that was a great approach.

All in all, I would definently keep it state of the art, otherwise in the near future you will have to shell out the costs to convert it anyway.

How about searching the internet for sand castles of all kinds and sizes and frame them for your office.  I would play on the beach theme and home. "Whatever YOUR Castle looks like, we can find it!"
