Is there any feedback?

By
Real Estate Agent with Suburban House Hunters

Does anyone have feedback regarding the blogs I've been posting?  I'm just curious.  Are there other subjects I should be more focused on?  I thought the snapshots of my area could help other agents nationwide so that they would be educated in the market in Illinois.

Please let me know any feedback.

I think you may have better luck in feedback with posts that reach a broader audience.  Usually anything marketing or promotion wise gets a lot of responses. -Charles

Laurie,

You should put your photo up in your profile so we can see who we're blogging to:)

Also, your blogs are very good for say blogger.com, where you could start one prevalant to your area. Here on Active Rain, if you notice the "featured blogs" or the one's with most comments tend to be more general in nature, with ideas and tips on marketing, strategies, etc.

Hi Laurie, Wow, look at this! You give us your mind instead of your graphs and already we are responding. Your previous posts, while informative, don't really let us know who you are and what you do. We are really quite a likeable bunch here. So jump in and bring your thoughts and personality and you will do great.

Thank you so much for the great feedback!!

I truly am new at this whole blogging thing and am still working on trying to find a way to let my personality show through.

Can you please give more info on this blogger.com site?  Like I said, I am new to this, but am looking forward to learning with your great, constructive feedback.

Thanks again!--BTW, I'm working on a pic....Hopefully, one will be posted next week.

Laurie, Blogger.com is only one, there are many around. But Blogger.com is fairly easy to get started. Just go on the site and follow the directions to start your own blog. Its free.

You can name it whatever you want, your name, your areas name, anything. Read some of the others and get ideas.

Then, you can submit your graphs, if you want or whatever. I'm sure there are plenty of people on this site that can give you a lot of ideas. Just keep asking.

With so many blogs on here, sometimes they get lost in the shuffle.

Laurie, watch your abreviations....   MT it took me a moment to think about it...   Definately put your photo on here, we want to see who we are reading about...   Write more about the area.  I post a lot of Market Updates and I am getting the most feedback from those that provide information from a historical nature.   Talk more about the specific community, give some links to the area.  Each time you write about it, bring more information...   And mix it up, write about your life.   I think the point most of us here are trying to connect with each other....  Make it a great night!

Lovely wife - who says we promise to behave ourselves?

More of the same, Laurie - post your photo and let your personality come through.

Laurie is part of my team and I asked her to start putting up some market info as I know that these posts can rank and bring in business. See my post "Blogging for Traffic".

Many here forget that the most important part of this experience is that we can gain more customers. Also happens to be one of the main reasons AR was started. It is very easy to get into the social aspect and forget all about making money. It feels good to see others having the same problems and so forth.

As for blogger and others, I will make a follow up post to the "blogging for traffic" post about that. Basicly you shouldn't devide your efforts, plus AR is becoming powerfull enough to rank instantly, it would take you 6-12 months to make a blog have that much authority (and why bother). Anyways I will write that post now and come back and post a link to it.

Ken, Laurie was asking for other AR comments on her blogs. While the market info is great for consumers, we don't really read that if it doesn't pertain to our market. I think a good mix is probably best. Some for other agents, some for consumers, some general either/or blogs.
