Finally it is Gorgeous here!

The rains and gloom have finally ended; didn't think that I would ever say that again after 2-3 years of drought! But it is magnificent today! This is one of the many reasons that I love living up here in the North Georgia Mountains! I really like the west side on the state, which is where Jasper, Ellijay and Big Canoe are located.  The traffic getting here is a small per percentage of what is seen over on the east side of the state, for one reason and that is a big one for me! Going up I-85 or I-985  is so nerve racking and dangerous! The ADP 515 which begins life as I-575 is a walk in the park comparably speaking. Traffic matters, it sets the tone for your mountain experience. Sitting in traffic for an extra hour or two will deter you from making the trip another time.  We come to the mountains to de-stress, not get crazy getting here!

Traffic Jam Big canoe Style!

The Wild Turkey's are out in force, strutting their stuff! The Cardinals never looked to good, so bright and healthy. Haven't had a bear sighting yet, but on a still evening I think that I hear them calling...either that or it is an owl, I'm never real sure! I love having to deal with these problems!

Linda, Yeah, love the N. GA mountains--I live in Lake Arrowhead--had 10 deer in my yard this morning and saw my first copperhead of the season on my morning walk--and I love it!

Nice shot!    At first, I thought it was a pheasant (which we have around here).
