While waiting for yet another training on the lending institution to begin, I decided it is a good time to work on my blog for the day.
I couldn't let the passing of this Memorial Day weekend occur without saying a little something. While we read, see and hear so much negative about our country I tend to fall victim and feel down about all that has happened in recent months and years. However, over the weekend, when I saw events like "Rolling Thunder" or heard music like "Stars and Stripes Forever" or "America the Beautiful," I couldn't help but to feel proud of the people that make up this great country. We have the right to complain and criticize and, at times, we feel ashamed, but let someone attack us like on 9/11 and you see most people put aside differences, pull together, and rise up as one. For all the faults we have in this country the population is one of our greatest assets. At least that is how I feel. I am sure others will disagree, but we have so much negativity, I figured it is time for a little positive.
