Mmm.  I sold a home similar to that house in 1995.  It is in Bethesda, MD.  I sold it for $700,000.

One of the things I love so about Active Rain is seeing the RE market in other areas of the country.  That home in Bethesda, MD would sell for about $800K.  The one I sold didn't even have a basement.  It was also built in 1991.  Capes like these are rarely constructed in this area.

Built in 1951.  Sold in 2005 for $700K.

Lenn: how uncanny (as far as the 'look' of the house) - almost identical. Yes our market price points are quite different.  And I thank you for providing the comparison!

I like that price! Up here it would be near 300,000

I spent the week in Lenn's area a few weeks ago and I could not believe the prices of those itty bitty houses!

Yes it's a fascinating market Moni!  The first house my ex husband and I purchased in Maryland was priced 67k and by the time Y2K rolled around the homes were worth about 200k.  Of course we had sold long before lol.  Have a good day Moni.
