Silent Speechless Sunday! (Thank you, Lisa)
I can see myself in the middle of that with a nice big glass of jack and coke. Thanks for the picture
Geez Marianne, that looks just like home to me. We have tons of scenery around here that looks exactly like that. I have to check your location just to see where in the world you were located.
Very pretty and serene. And psst. It's Speechless Sunday. Unles you prefer to call it Silent. I guess it doesn't matter. ;-)
Colorado moments like the one you captured above make us some of the luckiest residents around town.
Jack 'n Coke? Well, I'm afraid Jack just does me in!
Robert: I spend a vacation in BC and Alberta. And I was struck with how much the Calgary area looks like Colorado Springs. This photo is of the Rocky Mountain National Park. It is beautiful, much like all your beautiful parks!
OMG, Lisa! I've been doing it wrong all this time. Tee-hee-hee...is it too late to fix it? I thought it was "silent." "Speechless" it shall be. Thanks!
Sabrina: Colorado is amazing. The hubs and myself were just out taking a walk along a path, and all of a sudden we came to an opening and this was the shot. It's the river that feeds Grand Lake.
Great shot Marianne! Serene and beautiful! LOL I thought you KNEW it was "Speechless" and just decided to "make it your own"! Well, now you need to POST in the Speechless Sunday GROUP!
Marianne, looks like a great place to do some fishing and camping. This view would make a great oil painting.
Nope, didn't know. I'm a bit dyslexic, Cheryl. I think it comes from the same reason that I'm left-handed. The noggin doesn't work like the rest of the world's does. LOL.
Michael: There were some fisherman standing in the stream doing their thing.
Marianne,
That is about as still and tranquil a scene as I could imagine. Beautiful. :)
Steve
Steve, you must come to Colorado! Up in the high country, this is what you'll see. The Colorado river headwaters begin not far from this body of water. This is a sort of river, it flows between Shadow Mtn. Lake and Lake Grandby, and is only about 5 miles long. Asbolutely great fishing.
Thanks, Jim. It's beautiful, beautiful Colorado. The photo was taken on the west side of the Contentinal Divide, just south of the Rocky Mountain National Park. Come see us sometime.
