Mudcats Game benefitting the Wake Forest Girls & Boys Club

Buy your tickets now and help the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club! Summertime is baseball time and the Carolina Mudcat games are a wonderful way to enjoy the nation's pastime with family and friends while supporting a great cause! Tickets purchased through the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club will benefit the Club! The general admission tickets are only $5 and can be upgraded at the game for a small fee. While at the game, enjoy a $1 hotdog. Can't make it to the game? Purchase a ticket that will be donated to Club members and their families. Tickets may be purchased at the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club or at Warren & Perry Attorneys. Cash or checks are gladly accepted. TCC Campaign Training School

The Triangle Community Coalition will host a Campaign Training School on July 30. This intensive school is designed to help anyone interested in running for elected office with a better understanding of what it takes to run a winning campaign. The campaign school will be taught by experts in political campaigns who have worked on and won hundreds of candidate and issue campaigns all over the country. Whether a first time candidate, incumbent, campaign staff worker, volunteer, someone considering running for office, or a political activist, you are invited to expand your knowledge at this campaign school. Concert in the Park Featuring Big Fat Gap
Sunday, Aug. 2; 5 pm - 7 pm
E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Rd., Wake Forest
Co-sponsored by the Wake Forest Parks & Recreation Department, PineCone and United Arts of Raleigh and Wake County, the Concert in the Park features the Big Fat Gap band. Concert goers will be charmed by their back porch style bluegrass. The Big Fat Gap band is excellent for those who enjoy sweet three-part harmonies, smoking solos, and captivating stage dynamics. The free concert will be held at Wake Forest's newest park, E. Carroll Joyner Park, located on Harris Road approximately 1 mile off of Capital Boulevard. Click here for directions to E.
