And a good time was had by all.
Hi Lenn!
April,
It's about time science is catching up to what men already knew :)
Rich
Thanks for the chuckle here Rich! I think alcohol in moderation calms people - and that is a good thing!
"And God Created Alcohol So The Irish Would Not Rule The World"
The irony about this "Irish Beer", it's made in England! Hmmmm......
Vegetarians - You can't drink this! It is made with isinglass finings made from fishes' air bladders!
April, your husband edited out....."Researchers found that antioxidant compounds in Guinness, similar to those found in certain fruits and vegetables, are responsible for health benefits because they slow down the deposit of harmful cholesterol on the artery walls." Toss him an APPLE and he can get the same health benefits! LoL
Another good reason . . ..salud!
Eilean - Ahhh - but he won't touch an apple! ha ha ha ha.
Fernando - salute!
Great information on Beer. As I have been told often enough, I am not grown enough for Guinness, (too strong for me, yuck!).
My husband prefers the Black and Tan. I won't show him this article :o)! Thanks for the post!
April, it goes to show you the good things in life aren't so bad for you.
Schoal!!! I have never been one to take a lot of pills...I wonder how this is for a headach. In the 60's, my grandfather had a severe heart condition. The Dr. ordered a shot of Brandy morning, noon and night as a blood thinner. My grandmother had a real hard time with this...grandpa said "Well, if 3 are good, then 6 are better."
Now this is great news if you ask me. Guinness has always been my favorite beer, so now I have a good excuse to enjoy myself.
Brenda, Ahh show him the article - it could be fun!
Michael - Good to know some things may be good for us... until the next study.
Bill - I like his way of thinking, but after 6 I'd be passed out somewhere.... :)
JL - My husband really likes it too - I'll have to share this with him...
