I usually use my blog to talk about Real Estate,Networking, Recruiting, or to just have some fun.  However, this blog is being put out there to hopefully inspire some others as Kali Pung has inspired myself, and so many others.  Please read all of the blog and go to Kali's site for more info... www.kaliscure.org

I just got home from my weekend that I spent up in Charlevoix, Michigan.  I played in a Charity Golf Outing for Kali's CureKali's Curewas started by Kali Pung, who suffered a freak and terrible diving accident in 2006.  Kali was a life long friend of one of my best friends Jace Morgan.  Kali, was in her twenties with the whole world at her feet.  She is extremely smart, beautiful, and full of life.  Kali is the kind of girl that walked into a room or a tailgate party, and lit it up.  I had only met her twice before the accident and it was that way both times.  The type of girl every parent hopes their son meets and marries.  The sky was the limit for Kali.  Jace and his family grew up with Kali and her family in Alma, Michigan.  Both are great families and have done so much for others even before Kali's accident.

Since the accident Kali and her family have taken an awful situation and turned it upside down and made it out into something we can all learn from and be inspired by.  Kali instead of feeling sorry for herself she decided to help others.  A completely unselfish thing to do at a time when most of us, including me, would be thinking of just themselves.  Kali is still the girl who gets into a room and lights it up, except now she is in a wheelchair.  Even after this freakish accident Kali has kept her zest for life and then some.  She always has a smile on her beautiful face and makes everyone feel better just talking to them.  It is truly inspiring.

In 2008 after Kali had traveled around the country searching for cures and help with her injury.  During her journeys she discovered many people in her situation that didn't have the resources and the family support she did, needed some help.  So instead of Kali looking for donations or help with her situation, she did what makes her Kali.  She started a charity to raise funds to help others.

From her wheelchair Kali runs her charity like a champ, helping others in her similar situation and inspiring many people to realize you can do anything if you put your mind to it.  Kali has never let her being paralyzed stop her from reaching her dreams and helping others realize theirs.  The true meaning of a great person.  Feeling sorry for herself, I have been told, was not an option for Kali.  Her unselfishness is truly the actions of a saint.  It is a story that should be sent around and I hope you at the very least get inspired by Kali's story of complete and utter unselfishness.  This is only a small portion of Kali's incredible, and inspiring story.

If you have the means, or if you don't but know others less fortunate than you need some help get involved with Kali's Cure or donate some money to her charity and make a difference.  I appreciate you reading this and I hope you check out Kali's site.  www.kaliscure.org
