Flower World is a well guarded secret and you won't hear about it except in quiet circles, but if you want to visit arguably one of the best nurseries in the greater Seattle area, then you need to come to Flower World!
They have everything here and huge selections await you. I called around to five nurseries through out Seattle so that I could plant a few Raywood Ash trees (these are the beauties all along 35th in Wedgwood), and only Flower World carried them. Not only did they carry them, but they had about 25 of them and they were cheap!
Affordable prices was what attracted me to Flower World to begin with and the quality keeps me coming back. Flower World started out in the late 1960s as a mom and pop whole sale business, but grew to retail in the 1980s. It is a great place to come for small pot container gardening, but also has the support and inventory to landscape large facilities.
So where is Flower World? It is in the Seattle suburb of Maltby in Snohomish County. I highly recommend a GPS or a map because I still get lost after years of coming here. It is not near any other retail and out in the country. There are some nice signs guiding you in, but I still highly recommend a co-pilot!
Here is the official address for your GPS:
9322 196th Street SE, Snohomish, WA, 98296 (In Maltby) (425) 481-7565
When you get there, you will be in awe like I am every time - the grounds are extensive and gorgeous - there are maps in cute little mailboxes all over the place, but it is well enough staffed that you can also get help if you prefer.
Go see what all the fuss is about and visit Flower World! I promise you it will be worth it!
