Why Don't My Posts Keep the Category Box Checked Anymore?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Indy Metro Northeast

In the past when I posted to my blog I always checked the "Categories" box and then selected the appropriate category...I notice now that even though I keep checking the box and selecting a category, it doesn't seem to stick...

As I go back through my older posts I see that the category box is still checked and my cetegory selection is still selected...Is this an intentional change or do I need to open a ticket?  Just curious if anyone else out there noticed this or knows about the change....

Hi Chanda  ~  Interesting.  I didn't realize this was happening.  I'll go out on a limb - my theory is that they're taking away the categories - the Professional category view has not worked for at least three weeks and nothing's been done. Just my theory - but one that seems more and more plausible as time goes by - is that it's an attempt to minimize the agent-to-agent community aspect on the site in favor of more pure real estate posts.  It's really made the site far less fun for me but I'm plugging along for a few personal goals.

I've noticed the same thing and wondered what was going on.  Thanks for asking the question.  I hope someone out there on AR knows the answer.

Thanks for the comment Liz, I didn't realize you responded until I saw a response from Irene.  Seems I've been missing quite a few notifications (via email and on "My Home" summary) lately, whether it be for comments I receive or ones that I make.  So at least I know it's not just me.

I sent Bob an email and asked him to take a look at my post and comment to shed some light on this.  Let's hope he stops by to provide some input.

Hi Chanda ~ Now that you mention it I guess that's happening to me too. And oddly enough my comment here doesn't show in my own list of comments - I started to think I hadn't hit submit. Funny wrinkles.

Because it is broken. :-(

I wish I had an answer as to when it will be fixed but I do not. The developers are restructuring how posts are sorted and this is a minor bump in the road on the way to getting a more efficient way to group and be able to access posts.

Looks like we have our answer.  Thanks Bob.  Just wanted to make sure it wasn't me.  :)

I was wondering about it too. Since I post it as a draft first and change it several time before I actually post it. Thought it is happening because of that. But Bob answered here. So thanks Chanda.
