A real estate agent that bikes to property

Real Estate Agent with The Herrigel-Kennedy Group - Portside Real Estate

So I spend a lot of time on a bike perusing the neighborhoods, primarily in-town Portland and the city of Ships, Bath Maine.  Just thought I would see if I am the only crazy real estate agent who works sometimes from a bike or if this was a nationwide phenomenom.  For those who have the time it really is a spectacular way to see property, take it in much better than one might othewise.  Just be careful trying to do business on the cell phone, while negotiating intersections and remaining in balance!

Good for you, able to get some excersise cut down on polution a bit and get your business done.

I kind of wish it were easier to do that here, but being that it is so hilly and the houses are so spread out it would take all day to just get to 2 or 3 of them.

Exercise has been proven to have a positive effect on brain power too...so if you can do it (and if you don't need to give your clients a lift), then it's smart for a number of reasons!  Thanks!!

No biking & real estate here. But, we do have an agent in our office that takes a motorcycle everywhere. There is nothing funnier than watching an agent go down the street on a motorcycle carrying 10 balloons to an open house.

John, good for you. I'm not a real estate agent. I do closings. I walked to one a couple of weeks ago because it was only a half a mile away.  I have panniers and plan to ride my bike to closings that are within riding distance.

Very commendable, given this world of BMW-driving agents trying to impress everybody.

John, sounds like fun.  There was a time when I might have like to try that as well.  Just be safe - lots of 4-wheelers resent bikes on the road, or don't even see them.

I usually ride my motorcycle around. It looks odd with my briefcase on the back. I dont believe I will ever ride to an open house with ballons.
