Mo Anderson literally blew us away at the recent ALC Clinic in Atlanta.

Her wit, intelligence, wisdom, charisma etc etc was infectious.

She had a recurring theme . . . BE NICE!

Each list of things to do ended with: "Be Nice!"

Whenever there was an issue to resolve, the solution always included: "BE NICE!"

Got me thinkin'

As a Principal Broker, Organizational Consultant, and real estate professional, I deal with "Issues and Opportunities" aplenty every day as I coach/consult with REALTORS, work with home Buyers and Sellers, and mediate differences of opinions amongst the players in this game of life.

Most issues arise from what I can only think to call "Be Nice Amnesia" (BNA)

When BNA strikes, tempers flare and priorities become muddled.

BNA creates a messy stew that causes folks also to forget the GOAL.

BNA is a useless waste of time and energy.

"Be Nice" does not consume energy . . . BNA is a horrendous distractor.

BNA creates a veritable petri dish for the growth of toxic karma.

"Be Nice" is CONSTRUCTIVE . . . BNA is DEstructive!

Instead of telling others (children?) how "BAD" they are . . . and dwelling on what they did wrong . . . What do you think would happen if your simple response to aberrant behavior is:

"Be Nice!"?????

Try this . . . I think what you'll witness is . . . what you think, focus on, and say EXPANDS.

Dwell on what was wrong, and you'll get more of it back atcha . . .

Focus on "Be Nice", and you'll get more of THAT.

Wouldn't THAT be nice?

You are here on this planet to sculpt the best human experience you can . . .

Quit making it so difficult . . .

JUST BE NICE!

Great post Barry. We should alwasy treat others the way we would want to be treated. Being nice is definately on the top of my list. When things are becoming difficult with someone, throw them a curve ball and be nice, they won't know what to think.
